Get started

You can use Lyric Helper to get new ideas, write lines you are struggling with or even write full sections for your songs. Lyric Helper will read all the lyrics before your cursor and then insert what it thinks might come next. So if you are stuck for a particular line, move your cursor to the end of the line before and click the "write some lyrics" button. If you want Lyric Helper to add a new section at the end of your song make sure your cursor in the editor is positioned after the last line then click the button.

Lyric Helper will add lines directly into the editor where you cursor is. You can then choose to keep those lines, edit them, move them or delete them altogether. Sometimes Lyric Helper produces full lines and sections that exactly fit with your song. Other times it serves more as a source of ideas. It's best to think of it as a "co-writer", someone who is making suggestions and throwing out different thoughts that you might want to use.

Restrictions

There are a few restrictions on the type of content that Lyric Helper can produce. For safety and legal reasons we can't allow it to write hateful, violent or overtly sexual content. If the song you are writing contains that kind of content we don't mind, but you will probably find you get a message saying the content generated couldn't be shown. In that case we'd recommend either changing the language in your existing lyrics, or not using Lyric Helper on that song as trying to will use your tokens but likely end up with nothing being written for you.

Your responsibility

One other important thing to be aware of is that Lyric Helper might write lines from existing songs as part of its output. Under our terms of use it's up to you to make sure that anything you create using Lyric Helper doesn't include someone else's copyrighted work.
